Mr. Nelson Ugbede Omanibe is the pioneer Chairman of Ascensia Finance Company Limited. He also serves as Chief Partner at Instagrix Express Limited, Chairman of AfriHealth for Sustainable Development Initiative (ASDI), and sits on the boards of several other companies. With over three decades of professional experience, Mr. Omanibe brings exceptional leadership and governance expertise across finance, information technology, property development, and the public sector. He has been instrumental in establishing about six financial institutions, notably serving as the pioneer Group Head of Security Trading, Clearing and Settlement, and Market Development at the Abuja Stock Exchange Plc, and as joint-promoter and pioneer Managing Director of InterCapital Securities Limited. His career began in the 1990s at Lighthouse Investments Limited He has also served as Deputy Managing Director at Jigna Projects Limited and as a Director in the Federal Public Service. Over the years, his expertise has made him a sought-after consultant to regulators, stock exchanges, and both the U.S. and Nigerian governments. Mr. Omanibe is a Fellow of the Institute of Credit Administration of Nigeria, the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers (CIS), and the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants. He is also an Associate Member of the Certified Pensions Institute of Nigeria (CPIN), the Institute of Capital Market Registrars (ICMR), and the Institute of Chartered Conciliators & Mediators of Nigeria (ICMC). He holds a degree from the University of Ibadan and is an alumnus of the New York Institute of Finance.
