Veronica Lengmwa is an accomplished management professional with over two decades of progressive experience spanning the banking and public sectors in Nigeria. With 18 years of distinguished service in the banking industry and three years in the public sector, she has built a solid reputation for leadership, administrative excellence, and strategic marketing geared toward achieving corporate objectives. A native of Plateau State, Veronica was born in Wusasa, Zaria, and has pursued academic excellence across notable Nigerian institutions. She holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Abuja, a B.Sc. in Business Management from Imo State University, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Management from the University of Calabar. Her foundational training in Secretarial Administration was acquired through both HND and OND programs at the Federal and Plateau State Polytechnics, respectively. Veronica's career began at Nasco Foods Ltd and progressed through the National Productivity Center and a National Youth Service posting at the State House in Abuja. She then embarked on a long and impactful banking career, holding key roles at United Bank for Africa Plc, Mainstreet Bank Ltd, and Skye Bank Plc. She rose from customer service and operations to Regional Director, overseeing operations across Benue, Plateau, and Nasarawa States. In 2023, she rejoined the public sector, serving at the Office of the Vice President, State House, Abuja. Her extensive experience includes roles such as Head of Consumer and Commercial Banking, Business Development Manager, Area Manager, and Regional Director. She has managed teams of over 200 staff, driven financial growth across branches, and led strategic initiatives in customer service, compliance, and economic empowerment. Veronica is a member of several professional bodies, including the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN), the Nigeria Institute of Management, and the Institute of Corporate Administration. She is multilingual, fluent in English and Hausa, with basic proficiency in Angas. A results-driven leader and passionate advocate for community development, she continues to champion financial inclusion, SME empowerment, and human capital development.
